Thomas Lacroix est chargé de recherche en géographie au CNRS. Il travaille sur les relations entre transnationalisme, intégration et développement. Il travaille plus particulièrement sur le transnationalisme maghrébin. Ses thèmes de recherche incluent la relation migration et développement, les théories des migrations et du transnationalisme, la mémoire diasporique, le commerce ethnique, le transnationalisme associatif et familial.

Thomas Lacroix est docteur en géographie et science politique (Université de Poitiers, 2003). Il fut titulaire d’une bourse doctorale Marie Curie au Centre D’Etude des Migrations et de l’Ethnicité (Université de Liège, 2002-2003), d’une bourse postdoctorale Lavoisier au Centre Jacques Berque (Rabat, 2004-2005), d’une bourse postdoctorale Marie Curie au Centre for Research on Ethnic Relations (Université de Warwick, 2005-2007) et d’un contrat de recherche financé par la Fondation Volkswagen à l’International Migration Institute (Université d’Oxford, 2008-2011).

Il a été directeur adjoint de Migrinter (2015-2017). Il est actuellement coordinateur adjoint de la revue Migration Studies et chercheur associé au CERI.

Thomas Lacroix is CNRS research fellow in geography. He works on the relationships between immigrant transnationalism, development and integration. He more particularly works on North African transnationalism. His research interest include the migration and development relationship, diasporic memory, migration and transnationalism theory, ethnic business, associational and family transnationalism.

He holds a PhD in geography and political sciences (University of Poitiers, 2003). He was awarded a doctoral Marie Curie fellowship at the Centre for the Study of Migrations and Ethnicity (University of Liège, 2002-2003), a postdoctoral Lavoisier fellowship at the Centre Jacques Berque (Rabat, 2004-2005), a postdoctoral Marie Curie fellowship at the Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations (University of Warwick, 2005-2007) and a research fellowship funded by the Volkswagen Foundation the International Migration Institute (University of Oxford, 2008-2011).

Thomas Lacroix is former Migrinter deputy director. He is currently associate editor of Migration Studies and research associate at CERI.
